The nutty aroma of roasted coffee beans is a natural attractant for sleepless teenagers, making a high school the perfect setting for a new café. And fortunately for the King’s community, someone has stepped up to this task!
Since the beginning of this year, the Pilgrim Coffeehouse Truck has been visiting our campus on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:30 to 9:30 AM. They offer a variety of espresso beverages, with the average latte priced between $5 and $7. This 4.6-star rated cafe’s most beloved dishes are their breakfast sandwiches and mochas.
Pilgrim Coffeehouse not only offers these commendable foods, but also upholds virtuous ethics as well. Keith Carpenter and his family embarked on their journey with a dream. Guided by God’s light, they navigated through many hardships, and six years after launching the coffee truck, Pilgrim Coffeehouse opened its first location in Aurora.
However, their expansion does not end there. Pilgrim Coffeehouse is now constructing a new location on the Crista campus! The soon-to-open café will be situated in the building that previously housed Arbor Deli.
Mr. Carpenter, on behalf of Pilgrim Coffeehouse, states, “We are excited to be on the Crista campus and discover the opportunities we will get to have together in ministry … sharing the Light of Jesus through one cup of coffee at a time.”
So, set your alarms, stop by for a cozy cup of coffee, and consider sharing Christ’s love by purchasing another for a friend.
