Editor in Chief Carissa Chaiseeha ’25 is in her third year of journalism and loves the graphic design aspect of creating a newspaper. She loves writing, reading, and being artsy in her free time, and she strives to highlight the artistic side of the King’s community in her final year of journalism.
Editor-In-Chief Addy Faris ’25 holds passion and curiosity in many subjects, such as soccer, writing, and her cats. She plans on channeling this passion into her third year of journalism, exploring student’s stories in depth for the Sports and World sections.
Emily Baiko is a freshman and a first-year writer for the Quill. Outside of school, some of Emily’s favorite activities include reading thriller novels, listening to true crime podcasts, paddleboarding, celebrating her Indian heritage, and spending time with her family. She is passionate about expanding her knowledge, believing that “life should be spent learning.” Emily’s goal in writing for the Quill is to “spread awareness of different cultures, events, and people to eager minds.”
Fionn Kelly ‘25 is a second-year staff writer who aims to explore new subjects and write awe-inspiring articles. In his free time, he enjoys running with his English Setter dog, Willa, throwing javelin, and going for bike rides. He is also passionate about urban planning and city design.
Warren Floyd ‘26, staff writer in his first year on the paper, has a passion for stories and the pursuit of knowledge. Outside of the paper, Floyd plays Basketball at King’s. Floyd also loves kayaking, watching movies, and hanging out with friends and family. A fun fact about Floyd is that before moving to Edmonds in 2023, he lived in Phoenix Arizona for ten years.
Elisabeth Farstad, junior Elisabeth Farstad is a student writer for the 2024-2025 Quill. This is Farstad’s 7th year at King’s, and her first year writing for The Quill. Outside of the Quill, she is involved in dance, piano, and worship team. She also loves going to the beach with her friends and making coffee. She is a very bubbly and loving person and loves sharing her faith.
Audrey Zentler, a junior, is a student writer for the 2024-2025 Quill. This is Audrey’s 8th year at Kings and her first year writing for the Quill. Audrey is involved in track and loves being around her friends and being spontaneous! She also loves traveling, going to the beach, watching the sunset, taking pictures, and making yummy food!
Slaveck Moraru, Teacher for the 2024-2025 Quill. Mr. Moraru has taught Bible, podcasting, graphic design, and photography at Kings, and this is his first year teaching journalism. Outside of Kings, he is a pastor at Iloe Church in Bellevue. He is also a Theology student at BIOLA University
